Back in 2009 I started a random WordPress blog called Zeelemons to document my first paid vacation (spoiler: it was a stay-cation) and I think the only viewers I had were my co-workers. But quickly it morphed into something that gained traction as life happened (read: a long-term breakup) and then continued to happen (read: a new boyfriend, training for my first marathon, becoming an ADK 46r, going vegan, a new job, and spoiler: that boyfriend turned life partner). Life got busy, I got less inspired to share, blogs really loss traction with the launch of Instagram and other social media platforms and after a ten year run, I decided to archive that space and disappear.
Now, busier than ever with a 1-year old, juggling work during a pandemic, I find myself yearning to share again. Totally makes sense, right? I don’t know who’s going to show up to read what I end up publishing but I’m not doing it for the clicks; I think I just love having a digital space to document life over the years. Anyone else wish Livejournal was still a thing? Am I aging myself?
Anyway, welcome back if you knew me before and hello if you’re just joining me now.
